Happy reading!
Aditya pulls back slightly, a wry smile on his lips, and shakes his head.
"Dadi, you know how I feel about marriage. I can't stand the idea of being tied down. You know I hate girls-they're all drama and trouble. Let me go freshen up first, and then I'll join you for breakfast." He kisses her on the forehead before standing up to leave.
As he ascends the grand staircase, he pauses midway and turns to Kabir, who is waiting by the railing. "Kabir," he orders firmly but with a hint of warmth, "make sure the kitchen staff prepares only Dadi's favourite dishes today. I want her to feel special."
Kabir grins and salutes playfully, "Got it, Boss. Consider it done."
Meanwhile, back in the temple room, Dadi looks up at the deity's idol and smiles faintly, her hands folded in prayer once more. "Dear God," she murmurs softly, "My Adi is such a handful. Please, send a kind and beautiful girl into his life-someone who can tame this wild heart of his. I just want to see my Adi settled and happy before I leave this world."
Aditya heads upstairs to his opulent bedroom. The walls are adorned with minimalist art, and the sleek black and white decor screams sophistication. He steps into his walk-in closet, which is lined with tailored suits, luxury watches, and polished shoes, each item placed with precision. Grabbing a fresh suit, he heads into his modern, marble clad bathroom. As the water cascades over him, he closes his eyes, trying to wash away the fatigue and the headache.
His mind, however, drifts back to his Dadi's words. "Marriage? Me? How does even think that's possible?" A faint smirk plays on his lips as he shakes his head.
Downstairs, Kabir supervises the kitchen staff, ensuring every detail is perfect. The aroma of fresh parathas, dal makhni, and other delicacies wafts through the air.
Kabir samples the food, nodding in approval. "Remember," he tells the chef, "This isn't just for boss-its for his Dadi. No mistakes, or you'll have to deal with him." The staff nervously, fully aware of his infamous temper.
"Sharma Mention,"
(For Meera,
Uski chehre ki masumiyat, jaise chandani raat ka noor ho.
Aankhon mein gahrai, jaise samandar ka raz chupa ho.
Hothon ki muskan, jaise gulab ki kali khil uthi ho.
Uski adayein chalna, jaise ki ek nasha ho.)
Meera was praying in the temple at her home. The fragrance of fresh and incense filled the air, adding serenity to the atmosphere.
She lovingly looked at Lord Krishna's idol and said, "Hey Kanha, I don't know why, but I'm feeling very uneasy today. There's a strange fear inside me, as if something is about to happen." Her voice trembled slightly as she folded her hands tightly in prayer.
Just then, her best friend Ananya entered the room, her cheerful voice breaking the silence.
"Meera, why are you so tense early in the morning? There's nothing to worry about. You're probably just overthinking because you're about to leave Uncle and Aunty's house, right? It's natural to feel this way."
Meera turned to her, trying to smile. "Yes, maybe that's why. I've always been Papa and Maa... The thought of leaving them behind feels so heavy."
Before Ananya could reply, Meera's father entered the room with a warm smile.
Seeing him, she immediately ran toward him and hugged him tightly. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she whispered, "Papa..."
Her father gently placed his hand on her head, comforting her. "Beta, are you truly happy with this marriage? If there's even the slightest problem, tell me now. I'll stop everything without a second thought." His voice was filled with love and concern.
Meera stepped back, wiping her tears, and smiled softly. "No, Papa. I have no problems. I think I'll get to know him better after the wedding. For now, everything seems fine."
Her mother, who had been listening from the doorway, walked in with a slight frown.
"The wedding is just two weeks away, you're still asking her if she's okay with the match?" She sighed and continued, "You spoil her too much. She's already said yes, hasn't she?"
Her father looked at his wife and said calmly, "I just want to be sure my daughter is happy. That's all that matters to me."
He turned back to Meera and smiled, "Beta, you haven't shopped for jewelry yet. Have you what kind you want?"
Her eyes lit up slightly, "Papa, I want diamond jewelry. I want to look my best on my wedding day."
Her father laughed softly and nodded, "Alright, Beta. Today, you'll go shopping with your mother, aunt and Ananya. Pick whatever you like."
Her mother added teasingly, "Now, are you happy? You'll get your diamond jewelry, your shopping trip, and your Papa's endless pampering too!"
Ananya laughed and said, "Meera, this is why I envy you! You're like a princess in this house."
Meera chuckled softly but couldn't shake the strange uneasiness in her heart. As her father left, she looked at the Kanha once again, silently praying, "Please protect my family, Kanha."
"Aditya's Penthouse-"
He emerges from his room, now dressed in a sharp black suit, his hair neatly styled. He looks every bit the powerful businessman he is.
Descending the staircase, he sees Kabir waiting near the dining table.
"Boss, everything's ready. Dadi's favourite breakfast set on the dining table."
He walks over to the dining area, where his Dadi is already seated, waiting for him. She looks up and smiles warmly, her earlier irritation forgotten.
"Come, beta. Sit down. I was just about to start."
He pulls out a chair beside her and sits, as they eat together, he listens to his Dadi's advice.
After breakfast, Kabir approaches with an agenda in hand. "Boss, here's the schedule for today. You have a meeting at the showroom regarding the new diamond shipment. After that, there's a discussion with the suppliers. And we need to finalize the arrangements for the international deal."
He glances at the list, nodding, "Alright, inform Isha to handle the supplier negotiations. I'll take care of the showroom and the international deal."
Kabir hasitates for a moment before saying, "Boss, Isha mentioned there's been some tensions with the customs officers lately. They're tightening their grip, and she thinks it might slow down our operations."
His eyes narrow, and his expression turning cold. "Tension? Let me make one thing clear-no one slows down our operations. Tell Isha to deal with it. If needed, remind them who they're dealing with." His voice carries an edge that sends shivers down Kabir's spine.
"Understood, Boss," Kabir replies.
Both were talking when Vansh and his father, DCP Suyash, arrived unexpectedly.
Mr. Suyash, with a sharp gaze, asked, "Adi, what is all this, beta?"
He stood up with a calm demeanor and asked, "What happened, Uncle? Did something go wrong?"
Mr. Suyash folded his arms and said, "Tum dono jis tarah raat ko itna peekar ghar der se aate ho, ye bilkul sahi nahi hai. Thoda bhut thik hai, lekin tum dono to saari hadein paar kar dete ho. Or ye btao aisa kon sa kaam hai jo tumhe itni der raat tak bahar rakhta hai ki tum raat ko 2 baje, kabhi kabhi 3 baje lotate ho?"
(Translation - The way you both came home late at night after drinking so much is unacceptable. A little indulgence is fine, but you two cross all limits. And tell me, what kind of work keeps you both out so late that you're coming back at 2, sometimes even 3 in the morning?)
He keeping his usual charm intact, smiled faintly and said, "Uncle, I understand your concern. We'll be more careful from now on. I promise. You won't have to worry."
Mr. Suyash looked at him with a mix of suspicion and concern, "Beta, you both have everything one could ask for a family, a good life. Then why all this?"
He replied calmly, "Uncle, we know our limits. Trust me, we won't let you down." He then tried to change the subject, "Uncle, please sit and have breakfast. It's already served."
Mr. Suyash shook his head. "No, beta. I have some work at the station. I just check on you. I want to see you both make right choices in life."
After Mr. Suyash left, Vansh laughs, says, "Saale, tu to mere baap ko bhi nahi chhodta chakma dene me."
(Translation- You even manage to trick my father, don't you, you rascal?)
Aditya smirks subtly, his eyes glinting with mischief, but he say nothing, letting his silence speak volumes.
Vansh let out an exaggerated sigh, "Uff... Bhai! Aaj to main ghar se dad ke lectures khakar aaya hu. Ab kam se kam nasta to le aao. Nahi to main behosh ho jaunga."
(Translation - Uff... Bro! Today, I came back from home with nothing but dad's lectures as my meal. Now atleast bring me breakfast I faint!)
He chuckled, watching Vansh plop onto the couch. "You're too dramatic. Have your breakfast while I go with Kabir to the showroom."
Hearing this, Vansh sat up straight, his tone sharp, "Wait, why are you going to the showroom? That's why you have all these people working for you-to handle things. You don't need to go everywhere yourself."
Aditya's expression turned serious, "There's an important meeting I need to finish personally. It's not something I can trust others to handle."
Vansh Rathore (Aditya's best friend)
"Vansh a man of dual identities and unparalleled power. To the world, he is a charismatic politician with a golden tongue, winning hearts and elections with ease. But beneath the polished surface lies a ruthless mafia boss, feared for his cold calculations and unshakable dominance in the underworld. He walks the fine line between diplomacy and destruction, mastering both with a precision that leaves his allies in awe and his enemies trembling. Loyal to Aditya, he is a silent storm, always ready to strike when the moment demands."
"DCP Suyash Rathore"
"Suyash a man of honour and an unshakable moral compass, serving as a respected and fearless DCP. His life has been a testament to justice, tackling even the most dangerous criminals with unwavering courage. He is a father who values love and loyalty above all else. While Vansh is his biological son, Suyash's love for Aditya runs just as deep, a bond born out of Aditya's unwavering friendship with Vansh. To Suyash, Aditya is not just a friend to his son but another son to him, someone he admires and cherishes as part of his family.
Blissfully unaware of the dark empire Aditya and Vansh have built, he believes in their goodness and often feels pride in their unity and strength."
