Hello dear readers,
I hope you all are doing well!
Welcome to another chapter of this journey.
Sukriya!
Let's start...
He had his hand firmly on her waist, his lips dangerously close to her ear. His warm breath sent an uninvited shiver down her spine. Disgusted, she immediately pushed him away, her eyes burning with rage.
He smirked, his deep voice laced with amusement. "Ohh... Jaan, why so angry?"
She glared at him, her fists clenched. "Go away from here." she spat.
Instead of stepping back, he moved even closer, trapping her between him and the wall. His eyes gleaming as he whispered, "I just came to see my beautiful wife. By the way, are you okay? I hope you're not facing any trouble, Mrs. Singhania."
The mention of her new surname made her blood boil. She turned her face away, trying to control the storm inside her. "I don't want to stay here! I'll find my own way out!" she snapped, her voice trembling with defiance.
He chuckled, tilting his head. "F*ck... Too bad, but now you can only leave after my death. And trust me, Jaan... I have no intention of dying anytime soon."
His words sent a chill down her spine. His confidence, his arrogance, it infuriated her.
Before she could react, he placed his hands on her shoulder, gently but firmly making her sit on the bed.
She immediately shoved his hand away. "Don't touch me." glaring at him with teary eyes.
He sighed, "Baccha, don't cry."
A tear slipped down her cheek, and before she could wipe it away, he reached out, his fingers lightly brushing against her skin as he wiped it for her. "The sooner you accept this, the better it will be for you." His voice was softer now.
"I will never accept you! Never! You're delusional if you think I ever will." she retorted, her voice thick with emotion.
He smirked, tilting her chin up with his fingers, making her look into his piercing eyes. "Why not? What's wrong with me? I'm quite handsome, young, successful. What more do girls want?"
She jerked her face away.
"So just accept it." he continued, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper, "I am your husband, and now, you are part of my life. There's no escaping that, Jaan."
Her anger flared as she pushed him back with all her strength. "You're a monster. Nothing more than that."
He let out a low chuckle, completely unfazed. His eyes twinkled with mischief as crossing his arms. "Hmm... maybe. But no matter what I am, the truth remains the same. I am your husband and you, Mrs. Meera Aditya Singhania, are my wife."
His smirk widened as he added, "So, be a good wife and eat something. After all, I don't want you falling weak while fighting me every day."
Fuming, she grabbed a pillow and furiously threw it at him, her voice trembling with anger. "I am not your wife. Get lost from here."
He caught the pillow effortlessly, a small smile playing on his lips. "Baccha, I think you need a heavy meal. It'll help you argue with your husband more easily."
Before she could react, his phone rang. He pulled it out, glancing at the screen. It was Vansh. He answered the call, "Hmm..., Vansh."
His voice urgent and tense, "Adi, stay at home. I'm coming right now. There's a problem."
He replied calmly, "Alright, come quickly."
Without another word, he turned to leave. But just as he reached the door, he suddenly paused. Shifting from his serious mode back to his usual teasing self, he turned around, smirking at her.
"Ohh... and Jaan..." he said with a wink. "Next time when you call me a monster, make sure to add 'handsome' before it."
He came downstairs and saw Dadi sitting in the hall, reading a religious book.
As soon as she saw him, she placed the book down and asked sternly, "Adi, how are you coming from that side?"
He gave a slight smirk and replied, "I just went to check a file, Dadi. Nothing else."
Dadi narrowed her eyes, clearly unconvinced. "You went to her room, didn't you."
His smirk grew wider as he put his hands in his pockets. "Dadi, the study room is also on that side. I went there. Trust me."
Dadi scoffed, her voice sharper this time. "Adi, trust shabd tumhare muh se shobha nahi deta."
(Translation - Adi, the word trust didn't sound right coming from you.)
He sighed dramatically, rubbing his forehead as if exhausted. "Dadi, you've started doubting your Adi a little too much these days."
Dadi shot back, "That's because my Adi's actions give me no reason to trust him."
He chuckled lightly and then turned to Dadi's caretaker. "Take Dadi to her room. She needs rest. She's been overthinking a lot lately, and I really don't want her to stress too much."
Dadi glared at him, pointing a warning finger. "Adi, don't think I don't know what you're up to. Stay away from that girl. Don't force her into anything."
He raised his hands in mock surrender. "Dadi, forces is such a harsh word. Let's just say I'm on a mission to win my wife's heart, with love and tells her how much she means to me."
Dadi let out a frustration sigh and turned to leave, muttering under her breath, "This boy will never change."
As she walked away, he smirked and mumbled to himself, "And I have no plans to, Dadi."
He turned to Kabir and said in a firm voice, "Kabir, gather all the security and staff immediately. I don't want any delays."
Kabir gave a quick nod and left to call everyone. A few minutes later, he returned with all the security personnel and he leaned back on the sofa, his sharp gaze scanning each face. There was a certain authority in his posture, one that commanded attention without needing to raise his voice.
Just then, Vansh entered the room, noticing the gathering. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's going on, Adi?" Why have you gathered everyone?"
He smirked slightly and replied, "Wait a little, Vansh. I have some new instructions to give them. Important ones."
Vansh, sensing something interesting, casually sat down beside him, his arms crossed, watching silently.
He straightened his posture and addressed the staff, his voice calm yet laced with command. "Listen carefully, all of you. I've called you here today to give you some new rules that must be followed without exception."
The staff members stood rigid, their attention solely on him.
"Meera Aditya Singhania is not just my wife; from the moment we got married, she become the queen of this house. Whatever she says, you follow it without f*cking question. If she asks for something, she gets it. If she gives you an order, it is obeyed. Do you understand?"
Everyone nodded in unison, murmuring a respectful, "Yes, Boss."
He continued, his voice dropping a note lower. "Now, she is not in the best mood. She might yell. She might throw things. She might even scream at you. But...," he paused for a effect, "You will not talk back. You will not complain."
He smirked slightly before adding, "And if by any chance, she throws something at you and you feel like getting angry, just wait. When I came back, you can throw that same thing at me instead. But don't say a single word to her. Is that clear?"
The staff looked at him, started. This is not the kind of order they expected.
His voice softened, but there was an underlying seriousness to it. "And... this is probably the first time in my life I'm requesting something. Please, take care of her. She hasn't been eating, and I need you all to convince her to eat something. If she refuses, try again. Do whatever it takes, but make sure she eats. Understood?"
The staff nodded again, now understanding the weight of his words.
Vansh, who wad been silently observing the entire interaction, leaned back on the sofa, a smirk playing on his lips. He shook his head slightly and muttered under his breath, "Love really does make a person crazy... Even Mr. Singhania I never thought I'd see the day."
Vansh says, "Are kahne ka matlab ye hai ki apne apne muh band rakhna or na rakhe jaye to usko kuch mat kahna humein kahna."
(Translation - Ohh..., his mean, plain and simple, is that everyone should keep their mouths shut. And if that's not possible, then don't say anything to her instead come to us.)
He glanced at him, amused yet thoughtful, and added, "And here I thought you were the heartless one."
He simply shot him a side glance, his smirk deepening. "Never for her."
Kabir rushed toward him, his face tense with urgency. "Boss, the news about Bhabhi's kidnapping has come out in the media. Reporters are already looking for leads, and the police have started their investigation. We need to act fast before things get out of control."
Hearing Kabir's words, Vansh says, "Ohh... Adi! I completely forgot. I need to talk to you about this important matter."
Vansh didn't waste a second before grabbing his wrist. "Adi, come to your room. Right now."
Understanding the gravity of the situation, three of them hurried to his room, shutting the door behind them.
He crossed his arms and asked, "What's going on, Vansh?"
Vansh let out a frustration sigh, pacing the room before turning to him. "Adi, we didn't think through when we took her. And now, the situation has completely spiralled out of control. And let's be honest... It should have. We kidnapped someone's daughter, for God's sake."
He stayed silent, his expression unreadable.
Vansh's tone grew heavier. "They've demanded urgent action, and they're not backing down. And to make things worse, Dad is already looking for her. His entire team is out searching, and if they get even the slightest lead, we're done for. That's why I'm telling you... You cannot step outside this house today. I won't let you make things worse."
He exhaled sharply, rubbing his temple. "Vansh. Isha is bringing the diamonds today. I have to go to the showroom."
Vansh's patience snapped. He slammed his hand against the desk, his voice rising. "Adi, why do you never listen the first time? I already f*cking told you... You are not going anywhere. Do you think this is some kind of joke?"
His eyes blazed with anger as he ran a frustrated hand through his hair. "Aapko kya lagta hai Mr. Singhania aapne jo ye antim yatra nikali hai wo itni asan hai?
(What do you think Mr. Singhania is the final journey you have taken so easy.)
You've already done what you wanted... You just forced this marriage. Now let me handle the fallout before it turns into something we can't control."
He says firmly, "Vansh let me clear you one thing... I am not afraid of anyone, and I have never done anything without thinking. Every move I make is well thought out."
Vansh folds his hands and smirks, saying, "Oh... Yes Mr. Singhania, I know you are fearless. But this time, you should be scared because my position, my power is at stake. If things go wrong, it will slip right out of my hands."
He narrows his eyes and responded, "Ohh... So how long do you expect me to stay locked up like this? Because I can't just sit here and do nothing."
Vansh sighs and says, "Until your wife agrees. We can't afford any mistakes right now."
He lets out a dry laugh, "Vansh, do you seriously think she will give in so easily? You know she's not the kind to break that fast"
And you know what uske panjo ke nishan abhi tak hain meri body par.
(Translation - The marks of her nails are still on my body.)
Vansh steps closer, lowering his voice, "Adi, she is very dangerous girl. But, no matter what, you have to win your wife over. She's still furious. If Dad finds out and comes here, and if she speaks against us, we will be done for. We won't just be dealing with media or legel trouble... we'll be fighting Dad himself. You know he won't spare anyone if he finds out the truth. So for now, let her cool down. Until then, you are not stepping outside."
He scoffed, "She is my problem. You don't have to worry about her. She won't go anywhere, and she won't say a word to anyone."
Vansh exhaled sharply before continuing, "Adi, I trust you but just this once control your anger and handle her with care. Try talking to her. Do it with patience. If you have to get down on your knees to convince her, then do it. There's nothing wrong with kneeling before your wife is not wrong when the mistake is yours... sometimes, it's the only way to earn back her trust and make things right."
Just then, Vansh's phone rings. Seeing his mother's name on the screen, he quickly answers. His mother's voice is stern yet calm, "Vansh, bring Adi home right now. I need to speak to both of you."
Vansh hesitate for a moment before responding, "Alright, Maa. We're coming."
He hangs up, then turns to him, "Adi, Maa is calling us, but you stay here. I'll go and handle everything."
He nods slightly but says nothing.
He took a deep breath before continuing. "And let's not forget about your Jaan. Whether she likes it or not, she's your wife now. She needs to accept it." He paused, his eyes narrowing. "Because if she doesn't... then we won't just dealing with the police and the media... we'll be facing an enemy inside our own house."
He smirked, leaning back casually as he looked at Vansh. His eyes held a mischievous glint, as if he was enjoying. With a slight chuckle, he said, " Vansh, You need to trust your brother."
Vansh gives him one last glance before leaving.
"Kabir, come with me." Kabir follows Vansh outside. Vansh looks arround cautiously before speaking in a firm tone, "Kabir, stay with Adi. I know he won't sit quietly. The moment he takes any action, inform me immediately. Adi is impulsive, and in anger, he can do anything."
Vansh takes a deep breath and continues, "Kabir, if my brother gets into any trouble, I won't be able to bear it. Adi is my first priority, and I don't want to take any risks."
Kabir, nods firmly. "Vansh Bhai, don't worry. I won't let anything go wrong. I will stay with him."
Vansh places a reassuring hand on Kabir's shoulder before walking away.
Inside the room, Dadi was sitting beside her. She looked completely lost, staring blankly at the floor. If was as if she had shut herself off from the world around her.
Dadi observed her for a long moment before finally speaking in a gentle, caring voice, "Beta, I know you're upset, but at least eat something. You haven't had anything for hours."
After a long pause, she finally murmured in a barely audible voice, "No, Dadi, I'm not hungry. I feel suffocated here. I just... I just can't breathe."
Dadi remained silent, unsure of how to comfort her. Just then, a staff member entered the room, carrying a tray of food. She placed it in front of her with a polite smile.
"Ma'am, your food," the staff member said in a gentle tone.
She didn't even glance at it. "I don't want to eat," she said, her voice cold and distant.
The staff member hesitated before adding, "But ma'am, Boss asked to make sure you eat."
She finally looked up, her expression blank but her voice laced with bitterness. "Ohh... really?" she said with a hollow laugh. "To apne Boss ko jakar kaho unke pas zahar ho to isme milakar de mujhe shayad tab main kha sakungi."
(Translation - Then your boss that if there's any poision left, he should mix it in. Maybe then, I'll be able to eat.)
He stood near the door, leaning casually. A smirk played on his lips as he bit his lower lip, clearly amused by her anger. Her flustered, furious expression only seemed to entertain him more.
After watching her reaction for a few seconds, he finally stepped inside, his voice laced with amusement as he said teasingly, "So much anger, little one? What happened? Did someone annoy my dear wife?"
Just then, Dadi and the staff member exchanged glances before quietly leaving the room. As she walked out, Dadi gave him a sharp look and warned, "If her health is affected because of this, it won't be good." Her tone carried an unspoken threat before the she exited, leaving them alone.
She however refused to even acknowledge his presence. Instead, she clenched her fists and shut her eyes tightly, as if blocking out everything around her. Her entire posture screamed frustration and helplessness.
He observed her for a moment before stepping closer. He slowly lowered himself onto his knees beside her, his voice dropping to a soft, almost coaxing tone. "Baccha, listen to me... Look at me." His fingers lightly grazed the floor as he adjusted his position, trying to catch her attention.
Her anger only intensified. Her lips quivered slightly, as if she was barely holding back tears.
He sighed, his smirk fading just a little. "I know you're upset, but at least eat something, hmm? You can yell at me all you want afterward, but don't punish yourself like this."
Her eyes snapped open, blazing with fury. "I don't even want to see your face! Just leave!" she spat, her voice shaking with emotion.
He arched an eyebrow, his smirk returning with a hint of mischief. He tilted his head, pretending to be offended. "And why don't you want to see me?" he asked, his tone playful.
That was it. Her patience finally snapped. With barely controlled rage, she gritted out, "Mr. Singhania, aap bahut bure or papi insaan hain! I hate you!"
(Translation - You are a terrible and sinful man! I despise you!)
He let out a low chuckle, his smirk deepening. He leaned in slightly, his voice dripping with amusement. "Ohh? Such a heavy words... Where do you even get them from, Baccha?" He paused, watching the fire in her eyes with keen interest before adding, "Though I must admit, you look even prettier when you're angry."
She suddenly gets up, her frustration boiling over, and grabs a pillow. Without thinking twice, she hurls it straight at him, hitting him square on the chest. "You won't leave? Fine! I will go instead." she snaps, her eyes blazing with anger.
Before he can react, she turns on her storms off toward the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind her.
He standing there with the pillow in his hands, bursts into laughter. Shaking his head in amusement, he calls out teasingly, "Jaan, At least listen to me first. Running away won't change anything, Baccha."
"Rathore mension"
Vansh goes home, and his mother, noticing he's alone, asks sternly, "Where is my Adi?"
He replies, "Maa, your Adi is really busy, so he couldn't come. Is there something urgent you needed to talk about?"
She nods with a pleased expression and says, "Yes, I have chosen a girl for you. We are going to see her today."
He completely taken aback, exclaims, "What? Are you serious, Maa?"
She calmly responded, "Yes, it's already decided."
He sighs in frustration, running a hand through his hair. "Maa, I left something really important just to come here. I thought it was something urgent, something serious. I don't have time for all this nonsense."
Her expression turns stern. "Vansh, you will go meet the girl. This is not up for discussion. It is final decision."
He clenching his jaw, replies with equal determination, "And I am not going anywhere. That is my final decision."
Seeing his resistance, she narrows her eyes and sighs dramatically. "My son doesn't value my words at all. It's fine, I understand... You've grown up now, haven't you? You don't need your mother anymore. The boy who once listened to me without question now defies me over everything. You are busy, your father is also busy, no one has time to listen to me."
He glares at her, clearly irritated. "Maa, there's no need for all this emotional drama. Fine, I'll go, but don't expect me to change my mind."
Her face instantly brightens. She kisses his forehead affectionately and says, "Once you get married, I will find a girl for my Adi too."
He smirks, shaking his head. "Forget it, Maa."
She frowns and asks, "Why?"
He chuckles and replies, "Maa, just get ready. You'll understand soon enough."
She satisfied, goes to prepare herself.
"Later, at the meeting with the girl!"
He and his mother, and the family arrive at girl's house. Dr. Amaya Yaduvanshi, a well respected surgeon, is the woman they have come to meet.
At the families engage in polite conversation, he remains distant, uninterested. Eventually, her family suggests the two talk privately, and he reluctantly agrees.
Stepping aside to a quite corner, he wastes no time and says bluntly, "Look, I don't like to waste time, so I'll be direct. I only came here because of my mother forced me to. I don't want to get married, and I have no interest in this."
She tilted her head slightly, intrigued but unfazed. "And why is that?"
He scoffs, looking away. "Because I'm not the kind of man a woman like you should marry. I'm not a good person, Doctor. You're a kind-hearted, precious woman, and you deserve someone much better than me."
She crosses her arms, studying him. "You say that as if you know me so well."
He smirks bitterly. "I don't need to. I can tell. A woman like you... someone with a pure heart... would regret being with someone like me."
Her gaze doesn't waver. "And yet, despite all your warnings. I still like you."
For the first time, he looks genuinely surprised. "You don't even know me."
She shrugs with a small smile. "Maybe. But I'd like to."
He takes a deep breath, his jaw clenched as he looks at her. With a forced politeness. "Look, Doctor, take your time and think carefully. There is no rush. Marriage is not small decision."
Then, without waiting for response, he turns around and walks inside, heading straight to his mother. "Maa, I have some important work. I need to leave now," he says firmly, trying to escape the situation.
His mother looks at him with concern and asks, "What happened, beta?"
He clenching his fists, suppresses his irritation but maintains a composed expression in front of everyone. "Maa, I think you should ask Surgeon directly. If she agrees to the marriage, then fine, I'll go along with it," he says, his voice carrying a hint of indifference.
Just as he takes a step toward the door, Amaya enters the room, her voice unwavering as she declares, "And I am ready too."
He stops in his tracks, his jaw tightening as he slowly turns to look at her, his eyes filled with frustration. He then shift his gaze to his mother, suppressing his anger.
"Maa, can I go now?" he asks, his tone laced with impatience.
His mother, unfazed by his reaction, smiles warmly. "Let me give her shagun first, then we will go."
He inhales deeply, trying to calm himself. He clenches his jaw but control his temper, standing still.
His mother overjoyed, carefully places the shagun (auspicious gift) in her hands. Amaya on the other hand, beams with happiness, her eyes reflecting excitement.
"Amaya Yaduvanshi "
She is a skilled surgeon with a kind and innocent heart. She has a deep love for Hindi songs, often finding solace in their melodies. She has known Vansh for a long time, as he is a young and well-known politician who commands respect and admiration. Over time, her admiration for him turned into love, and now, she is willing to do anything for him. No matter the challanges that come their way.
Then, he and his mother walk toward the car. He turns to the driver and instructs, "You follow me in another car. Today, I will personally drive my mother home."
As soon as he gets into the car and starts driving, he grips the steering wheel tightly. He glances at his mother and says, "Maa, you had already made all the arrangements beforehand. Then what was the point of bringing me here?"
She adjusting her saree pallu with a contant smile, replies, "I wanted to see whether you liked the girl or not."
He lets out a sarcastic chuckle and shakes his head. "No, Maa. You brought me here only so you could give her the shagun. That was your real motive, wasn't you?"
She unfazed by his tone, pats his arms affectionately. "You have to get married anyway, Vansh. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Now, I will start looking for a girl for my Adi."
He smirking, "Good luck with that, Maa."
She sighs and says, "Waise Vansh mere Adi kya hua hai aajkal wo ghar pe nahi aata. Mera beta mujhe bilkul hi bhul gaya hai."
(Translation - By the way Vansh, what's wrong with my Adi? He hardly come home these days. Has my son forgotten me completely?)
He mutters under his breath, "He has forgotten everyone... even himself."
She frowns in confusion. "What did you just say?"
He quickly shakes his head and replies, "Nothing, Maa. Your Adi has just busy lately. You know how much he loves his work."
She sighs again, her concern deepening. "Ek mera Adi hi to hai jo zidd karta hai. Baki to sab yahan samjhdari wali baaten karte hain or sochte hai. Par ab to wo bhi shant ho gaya hai."
(Translation - Adi is the only one who always so stubborn about everything. Everyone else here talks sensibly and acts wisely. But now, even he has gone quiet.)
He lost in his own thoughts, thinks to himself, "Kitne bhole logon ke sath rahta hun main. Bechari Maa ko pta hi nahi hai ki unka ladla tufan kabka la chuka bas un tak aana baki hai. And I swear pahali dusman aap hi hogi apne ladle ki."
(Translation - I live among such innocent people. Poor mother has no idea that her beloved son has already unleashed a storm; it just hasn't reached them yet. And I swear, she is going to be his first enemy.)
His mother's voice pulls him back to reality, "Vansh, have you started staying busy talking to yourself these days? I think all those speeches you give to the public have completely gone to your head."
He quickly composes himself and forces a small smile. "Nothing, Maa. Just tired."
She looks at him with concern and determination and says, "I want to go meet Adi. Take me to him right now. If he isn't come home, then I will go see him myself. It's been so long since I've seen him properly."
His expression changes slightly, faking a reassuring smile, and responds, "Maa, Adi is extremely busy these days. He barely has time to breathe, let alone meet anyone. I think it would be best if you just called him instead. That way, you won't have to go anywhere, and you can still scold him for not coming home."
Without wasting another second, he pulls out his phone, quickly dials his number, and hands the phone to her.
As soon as he picks up, his voice is sharp and direct. "Yes, Vansh? What happened?"
Before Vansh can respond, his mother immediately interjects, her voice filled with affection, concern, and slight disappointment, "Adi, do you only remember Vansh now? Have you completely forgotten your mother? You don't even come home these days! Do you have any idea how much I miss you?"
Enjoying the moment, Vansh smirks and playfully adds, "Yeah, Adi, this is not fair. You used to say she is your mother but look at you now ignoring her. Very wrong Adi..."
He while slightly smiling on the phone, says, "Maa, it's nothing like that. I was just a little busy with work."
His mother softly says, "Adi, I found a girl for Vansh."
Before she could say anything further, he quickly exclaims, "What?" in shock.
His mother continues in a teasing tone, "Yes, beta, that's why I called you too, but you were too busy. Well, never mind now."
Vansh smirks, shaking his head and says, "Look at you, happily accepting your fate, but when it comes to me, you sit and cry."
He raises an eyebrow and asks, "What happened to you now, Vansh?"
His mother sighs dramatically and says, "You both just talk to each other. I don't want to talk to either of you. I don't understand where your minds wander all the time. The things you both say and do are beyond my understanding. One is lost in his busy life, and the other keeps sulking over nothing."
Hearing this, they both burst into laughter. He leans back and grins, saying, "Maa, as soon as I'm free, I promise I'll come straight to you. Then we'll sit together and talk properly, okay?"
After 2 days,
Dadi notices her looking restless and says in a gentle voice, "Beta, if you're feeling suffocated in this room, why don't you go to the study room?"
Then she turns to the caretaker and instructs, "Take Bhabhi to the study room and show her the way. She should comfortable here."
She quickly interrupts, "No, Dadi, I can manage on my own. I don't need any help."
She steps out, but instead of going directly to the study room, she ends up wandering into another part of the house. A section no one visits often. The dimly lit hallway gives her an eerie feeling, and just as she takes another step, Alexa's red alert blares loudly.
The sudden, high-pitched alarm startles her. Her heartbeat quickens as she instinctively takes a step back, fear creeping up her spine.
Hearing alarm, the security team gets ready to rush upstairs. But before they can move, he who was lounging the hall, casually raises his hand to stop them. With a smirk, he says, "There's no need to go anywhere. Let the little girl explore her new house."
Finally she finds the study room. As soon as she enters, her eyes land on the towering bookshelves filled with neatly arranged books. A wave of nostalgia washes over her. The sight of books reminds her of something important... something urgent.
Suddenly, her mind clicks. "Hey Kanha! My form... The deadline to submit my form is almost over! What do I do now?"
She grips her head in frustration, "In all this chaos, I completely forgot. If I miss the date, my entire career will be ruined."
She paces back and forth, biting her nails anxiously. "What do I do? What do I do?"
Then, almost sarcastically, she mutters, "Rahne dijiye Kanha. Mujhe pta hai aap kya kahenge iss shaitan ko bhej to diya hai. Kitne bure din aa gaye hai mere."
(Translation - Let it be, Kanha. I already know what you're going to say... You've sent this devil to me. How unfortunate my days have become.)
Determined, she grabs a book and sits down, pressing her fingers to her temples, trying to think of solution.
Just then, she feels a presence. She doesn't even have to look... she knows.
Her body tenses. She grips the book tighter, her jaw clenching. She can hear the sound of his footsteps approaching slow and deliberate.
Then his voice dripping with amusement. "How is my dear wife doing?"
She fuming with frustration, snaps the book shut with a loud thud. Without looking up, she spits, "How do you think I am? I'm stuck in a house with a complete stranger. How do you think I feel?"
He smirks, his eyes glinting with mischief as he leans against the bookshelf. "Stranger? Ouch... That hurts, Jaan..."
She finally look up, her glare sharp enough to cut glass. "I feel suffocated here. There's nothing in this house except alarms blaring every second, security watching my every move."
He chuckles, taking a step closer. "I don't want to imprison you, Jaan. I only want to protect you."
She crosses her arms, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Ohh... Really? And who will protect me from you?"
Her voice filled with frustration, says, "Mr. Singhania, I want to meet my parents. I can't stay locked up like this. They must be worried sick about me."
His face unreadable, replies in a calm yet firm tone, "Sorry, Jaan, but you can't meet them."
She steps closer, her voice rising. "Why? Why can't I meet them? They must be searching for me. I need to see them."
Meeting with her gaze, he simply says, "Baccha, sorry." he turns around and walks away.
"Mr. Singhania." she yells, her voice echoing through the house. But he doesn't stop, nor does he turn back.
Later that evening, Vansh arrives at his penthouse.
He sits on the couch, casually scrolling through his phone as if nothing is wrong, while she stands in the same spot, her arms crossed, glaring at him. Vansh notices senses that something is off.
Before he can ask anything, the door swings open, and in walks Kabir, followed by his father, police officers and her father. Vansh's eyes widen in shock.
"Adi..." Vansh exclaims, his voice laced with confusion, "Why did Kabir bring Dad and the police here?"
He doesn't react immediately. Instead, he smirks, his fingers still lazily scrolling on his phone.
She seeing her father, instinctively moves forward, her heart racing, but before she can take another step, he grip tightens around her wrist, stopping her in place.
She gasps and struggles, "Mr. Singhania, please leave my hand."
He still not looking at her, saying nothing. His grip remains firm yet controlled.
Vansh immediately stands up, his expression shifting from confused to concern.
His father steps forward, his eyes filled with disbelief. "Meera? How are you here?"
A smirk plays on his lips as he finally looks up and says, "Bahu hai aapki. Khush hona chahiye aapko."
(Translation - She is your daughter-in-law. You should be happy)
His father's face turns pale as he looks at him, his voice trembling with disbelief. "What are you saying, Adi? Have you lost your mind."
His smirk widening, replies, "No, Uncle, my mind is perfectly fine. That's exactly why I called you here... to meet your daughter-in-law."
His father says angrily, "Adi, did you bring her here?"
He sitting in a completely relaxed mood, leans back, with a smirk, watching her and she struggle to free her hand from his firm. With an air of confidence, he says, "Yes, I brought here. And not just that, I also married her. Shocking, isn't it? But now that she's my wife, won't you bless your daughter-in-law?"
Her father says, "Sir, arrest him. He has kidnapped my daughter." His face is red with anger as he gestures toward him.
His father turns to him and says in a stern voice, "Adi, if you have brought her here, I will have no choice but to get you arrested."
He is still seated on his sofa with confidence, smirking even more. His sharp gaze meets her father, completely unfazed. Just as his father steps forward, she suddenly takes a bold step in front of him, her voice echoing in the hall, "Khabardar kisi ne mere pati ko hath lagaya to."
(Translation - Dare anyone lay a hand on my husband.)
Her father, shocked, says, "Beta, what are you saying? We have come to take you home."
She crosses her arms in anger and her eyes burning with rage "Ohh really? And who told that I was here?"
Her father, caught off Kabir, replies, "This boy come and told us."
She lets out a bitter laugh, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Oh... this boy, is it? This boy is my husband's partner. He wanted you to know, that's why you're here. Otherwise, tell me, for two whole days, where were you? Did you even know where your daughter was? Whether she alive or dead?"
His father steps forward, trying to calm her down. "Beta, we were trying our best..."
She doesn't let him finish. "Or aapne kya koshish ki? Kuch pepar bhare? Kuch call kiye? Prathana ki magically me waapas aaun? Ye dharti lok hi hai naa, ya aapka 'Anmol Ratan' mujhe patal lok mein lekar aaya hai jo aap do din tak pta hi nahi lga paye?"
(Translation - And what exactly were you trying? Filing a few papers? Making some calls? Praying that I magically return? Is this still Earth, or did your 'precious gem' take me to the underworld that you couldn't even find out where I was for two whole days?)
She takes a step closer, her voice turning colder. "Forget it. He's more powerful than all of you put together."
Vansh walks up to him, leans in slightly, and whispers, "Adi, why do I feel like your wife is speaking exact your language, with the same attitude and fire as you?"
He chuckles, crossing his arms confidently, and replies, "Well, she is my wife. If she doesn't speak my language, then whose will she speak?" He pauses for a moment and adds with a playful glint in his eyes, "Looks like she's learning pretty fast, huh?"
